The Fastest and Simplest Way to Establish and Grow a Quality Email List

When a new client of mine explains to me that they don’t have an email list, or they have a very small email list. I tell them that “we were all born naked.”

None of us was born with an email list so the best thing to do is to start developing one. Right away.

If you don’t already have an online email database, then you can start today, by signing up for one of the many free versions such as www.mailchimp.com and populate it with everyone who has shared their email address with you in the past in the context of your current business.

It really doesn’t matter whether you have one person or 100 people or 1,000 people ready to populate your online email database.

The important thing is to start.

To paraphrase Goethe: the magic, genius, and power is beginning a thing and the moment you commit to a certain endeavor, all sort of things, previously unforeseen, start to occur to help you in that undertaking.

You should of course set up what is referred to as “a lead magnet” in the form of an offer on your website where people can opt in. If you go to my website at www.leadsology.guru, you’ll find plenty of examples.

But that doesn’t help you much if you’ve got no traffic going to your website.

So, while you should definitely have something to offer on your website that visitors can opt in to receive in exchange for the email address, and have those opt-ins populate your new email database (see above), you’ll also need a method of growing your email list that doesn’t initially rely on significant volumes of website traffic.

The simplest and easiest and fastest way to establish a quality email list is to set up and host a webinar panel where you have three specialist panelists who each target your target market and who possess the seven characteristics that I featured above in the section of how to identify an ideal OPN partner.

Each of the three specialists will therefore have a high-quality email list and they will promote the webinar to their list via an email that you’re provide them with, which will include the link for those email subscribers to register for the webinar panel.

In your capacity as the host and facilitator of the webinar panel, you let people know on the webinar registration page that, in registering for the webinar, they will also be opting into the email subscriber lists of each of your panelists as well as your own email list.

You’ll assure them equally as explicitly that the contact details will not be shared with anyone else and that they’ll be able to unsubscribe easily and simply at any time by using the link at the bottom of any emails they receive.

(All online email database platforms provide an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each mini email that you send out.)
